The heavy rifle is the answer to the problem of cover. In Leonida, cover is everywhere: parked vehicles, concrete barriers, building corners. The standard carbine respects most of it. The heavy rifle does not.
A round from this platform passing through a car door does not stop at the door. A round passing through a concrete block surface loses energy but retains enough to be decisive. The operational implication is that positions which feel secure against standard rifle fire are not secure against this.
It is not a spray weapon. It is a precision platform. Controlled fire. Single shots or short bursts. The operators who carry it are not suppressing. They are eliminating specific threats at specific positions behind specific cover.
