The underwater environment in Leonida is a fully realized space with its own navigation, hazards, and content. Leonida's Florida coast takes that into tropical reef territory.
The marine life of Leonida is present in the underwater environment. Sharks in the deeper offshore water, sea turtles on the reef, and the fish population that populates the Keys shallows. Diving encounters the same ecosystem that fishing approaches from above.
The diving mechanic manages breath capacity and the oxygen system. Scuba equipment extends underwater time significantly. Free diving is limited by breath capacity and depth. The pressure system at depth creates a practical ceiling on unequipped dives.
Submerged locations are a GTA content category. Wrecks with cargo, underwater collectibles, and the missions that require underwater access to coastal structures or vessels. The spear gun confirmed in the weapons database is the primary underwater tool. The diving activity is the context that makes it relevant.
