The System

What Confirmed Means on This Site

Every label on every page in the GTAVITIPS database means something specific. Confirmed is not a casual word. Reported is not a hedge. The labeling system exists because the difference between confirmed intelligence and speculation is the difference between useful and noise.

This article explains the system in full.

The Approved Sources

What Qualifies as a Source

GTAVITIPS uses a closed approved source list. An entity earns a Verified or Confirmed label only when it is cross-referenced across at least two of the following sources:

Official Rockstar trailers. Rockstar Newswire. Tez2. Matheusvictorbr. GTAForums analysis threads. The 2022 gameplay leak archive.

A single source produces a Reported label with that source named explicitly. No approved source means Speculation or Unverified Intel. These labels are non-negotiable and not editorial decisions. They follow from the source count.

Both have documented track records of accuracy on Rockstar titles. Tez2 in particular has consistently provided reliable pre-release intelligence with a high confirmation rate against subsequent official material. Their inclusion in the approved source list reflects that track record, not their follower count.
The Labels

What Each Color Means

Green label: Confirmed or Verified. Two or more approved sources. This is established intelligence.

Yellow label: Analysis or Reported. Either a single approved source, or an analytical conclusion drawn from confirmed evidence. The distinction between the two is always stated explicitly on the page.

Red label: Debunked or Unlikely. Contradicted by official material or assessed as implausible based on the available evidence.

Grey label: Pending. The question has not been addressed by any approved source in either direction.

If two approved sources conflict on the same entity, GTAVITIPS flags the conflict explicitly on the page and does not resolve it silently. The reader sees both sources and the discrepancy. We do not pick a side and hide the other. The conflict is the intelligence.
What We Do Not Use

The Excluded Sources

Unnamed leakers, anonymous posts, Reddit speculation, and YouTube videos analyzing the trailers are not approved sources regardless of how widely they circulate. The reason is not that they are always wrong. The reason is that they cannot be attributed with accountability. When an anonymous leaker is wrong, there is no record of the error. The approved source list exists to build a database that can be corrected when new official material contradicts it.
