How Big Is the GTA 6 Map?
Not officially confirmed. Rockstar has not released map dimensions for GTA 6. Based on the geography visible in both trailers, the map includes Vice City as a dense urban core, surrounding suburbs, the Leonida Keys island chain, inland swamp and forest terrain, open highway corridors, and coastal areas.
Community reconstruction work on GTAForums estimates the map is larger than GTA 5's San Andreas but the methodology involves significant assumptions. A more detailed analysis: The Geography of Leonida.

Is GTA 6 bigger than GTA 5?
Analysis
Likely, but not confirmed. The trailer footage shows a wider variety of terrain types than GTA 5. Vice City alone appears comparable in density to Los Santos. The addition of the Keys, swamp, forest, and open highway suggests a larger total area. This remains analysis until Rockstar confirms dimensions.

Will the map expand after launch?
Analysis
Rockstar has not confirmed post-launch map expansions. The GTA Online model has historically added new areas and interiors over time rather than large map expansions. Whether GTA 6 follows the same pattern is unknown. Full breakdown of the rumours: GTA 6 Map Expansion Rumours.
