Leonida Profile
Chacho's Lasso Fries sells the ad more than it sells the fries. Its late-night TV spot runs in the same commercial break as Brownstein's Root Beer, the two of them tag-teaming the exact moment somebody's flipping channels at two in the morning and vulnerable to a jingle.
The name does the work the menu doesn't have to. "Lasso" promises something about the shape or the size or the way the fries get served, and it doesn't really matter which, because the promise lands before the question ever gets asked. Fast food brands that survive on Leonida television learn that lesson fast.
No confirmed storefront on record, just the ad and the name it's selling. The rest is left to the imagination, which is exactly how a two-a.m. commercial break is supposed to work.
