Field Assessment
The Tropic is the Keys and coastal runabout. Not as fast as the Pegassi Speeder. More practical for the range of uses that the Keys environment creates: the island hop between the outer Keys, the marina to the sandbar run, and the boat that the Vice City beach bar keeps at the dock for guests.
The shallow draft makes the Tropic the accessible option for the Keys backcountry channels that the deeper-hulled speedboats cannot navigate at speed. The Tropic trades top-end speed for the navigational range that the shallow water gives it.
As a mission boat the Tropic is the standard Keys and coastal vessel: common enough to be unremarkable, fast enough to be useful, and available at every waterfront location in Leonida.
