December 5, 2023: Trailer 1
Rockstar Games released the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI via the Rockstar Newswire and YouTube. Runtime: 91 seconds. The trailer confirmed the setting as Vice City and the state of Leonida, introduced both protagonists, and established the criminal premise. The trailer reached 100 million views within 24 hours, setting a YouTube record at that time.

December 2023: Fall 2025 Window Confirmed
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed in investor communications that GTA 6 was targeting a fall 2025 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. No specific date was given at this stage. This was the first official timeline commitment from the publisher.
The Year It Moved
May 6, 2025: Trailer 2

November 6, 2025: Release Date Confirmed

The Countdown Year
As of April 2026, no further official Rockstar communications have been published beyond the November 2025 release date confirmation. Pre-order availability, pricing, and additional content announcements are expected in the months before November 19. This page will be updated when they land.
