GTA 6 Rumors: True or False?
Every rumor gets one verdict. True means Rockstar's own material shows it. Debunked means Rockstar's own material contradicts it. Unverified means no approved source either way. Outdated means it was overtaken by news.
Six checked so far. More get added as they are verified. A rumor with no approved source never counts as True.

Rumor: GTA 6 has a collector's edition with a steelbook, art book and printed Leonida map
Debunked
Retail listings from late 2025 described a physical collector's edition with those items. Rockstar's June 2026 announcement lists two editions, Standard and Ultimate, and neither is a physical collector's box. Ultimate is digital only. See the physical edition rundown.

Rumor: the base game costs $100

Rumor: GTA 6 was delayed, twice
True
Rockstar moved the game from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026 (announced May 2, 2025), then to November 19, 2026 (announced November 6, 2025). Both new dates came from Rockstar's own statements. See when GTA 6 releases.

Rumor: GTA 6 will be delayed again
Unverified
No approved source reports a new delay. November 19 sits on Rockstar's pre-order announcement, on the November 12 pre-load date and on the launch trailer from October 15. That is not a promise, but nothing in Rockstar's material points the other way.

Rumor: GTA 6 comes to PC in Q1 2027
Unverified
GamesBeat reported on October 13, 2026, citing four anonymous sources, that Rockstar plans a PC release in the first quarter of 2027. Rockstar has not announced a PC version or a date, and it did not respond to GamesBeat. Launch is PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. See is GTA 6 coming to PC.

Rumor: the GTA 6 download is 676.7 GB
Debunked
A screenshot of an Xbox Store listing claiming 676.7 GB spread on December 24, 2025. It was doctored: the real listing shows no file size, and the image said "Install on your home Xbox One", a console GTA 6 is not coming to. Insider Gaming reports it came from a parody account. Rockstar has not published a size. See the download size page.
