Dossier
The gym is part of Vice City infrastructure. The protagonist's strength builds with consistent training and the character model reflects it. Train enough and the protagonist gets visibly bigger. Miss enough sessions and that reverses. That is not a hidden stat. That is the character changing based on what you do in Leonida.
The real Miami fitness scene is the reference point. Beach adjacent, club adjacent, aesthetically motivated. Vice City gyms reflect that: the clientele is there to train and to be seen training. The person on the next bench is a character. The trainer running the floor has history. GTA uses gyms the same way it uses bars.
Each gym session runs through a simplified exercise interface: bench press, squat, curls. Different exercises build different attributes. Strength feeds directly into punch damage and unlocks specific combat actions in the cage fighting context. The connection between the gym and the cage is direct.
Regular attendance places the protagonist inside a specific Vice City demographic. The gym connects to the nightlife circuit, the cage fighting scene, and the people who operate across both. It is a social node.
