The Malibu Club is back. The original GTA Vice City version of this venue was one of the most mission-relevant locations in that game. The South Beach nightclub that Tommy Vercetti eventually took over, that served as a backdrop for multiple major story sequences, and that burned into the memory of anyone who played that game. It returns in a Vice City that has grown around it.
What the Malibu Club means for Leonida is not just a location callback. It is a structural signal. The original Malibu was a venue, a front, and a mission hub simultaneously. The Malibu Club will serve the same function in the new Vice City context: the place where the nightlife economy and the mission economy overlap.
The South Beach position means the club operates in the most visible and most surveilled part of Vice City. What happens inside it has a different character from what happens on the street outside.
