Field Assessment
The Liberator is the monster truck. The F-150 body elevated to a point where the vehicle's ground clearance exceeds the height of most other cars. The practical utility of this configuration in Vice City is limited and specific: driving over other vehicles, navigating the non-road geography that height and wheel size opens up, and the particular Vice County events that this category of vehicle exists for.
The monster truck exists in Leonida because Vice County has the events and the audience for this category of vehicle. A state that generates the real-world Florida truck culture would be incomplete without one. Vice County has the events and the space. The Liberator is what attends them.
The handling reflects the configuration. High centre of gravity, significant suspension travel, and the weight that the chassis requires. Fast in a straight line, capable off-road, and extremely difficult to use in the Vice City street grid without incident.
