Leonida Profile

Bravado is the American manufacturer in Leonida. Not American by heritage or country of registration. American by philosophy: bigger displacement, higher ride height, louder exhaust note than the engineering requires.

The pickup truck range dominates Vice County. The farms, the construction sites, the people who need something that will pull a trailer and survive being used as a trailer itself. The Bravado pickup is so common in Vice County that the absence of one is the unusual observation.

On Vice City's strips, the Bravado muscle car line takes a different role. Lower, louder, more chrome than function requires. The person driving it made a choice and the choice was Bravado, which in Vice City communicates something specific about the driver's relationship with subtlety.

Visual Impact Log

Trailer 1
Bravado pickup on a Vice County rural road. Towing something. Moving at a speed that suggests the driver is late and not concerned about it.
Trailer 2
Bravado muscle car on a Vice City strip at night. Parked outside a bar. The exhaust note carries in the audio of the sequence.
