Leonida Profile
The Ocean View Hotel is on Ocean Drive. It has been on Ocean Drive since the first time this city was rendered, and it is on Ocean Drive in present-day Leonida. The address has not changed. The city around it has grown for thirty years. The neon sign is still there.
In the original GTA Vice City, the Ocean View was Tommy Vercetti's first base of operations. The room with the view. The place he kept coming back to before Vice City gave him something larger. Its presence is a direct line from the original city to this one.
What the Ocean View actually is in Leonida isn't nailed down yet. A protagonist's room, a mission stop, or just a landmark carried over to prove this is still Vice City. Could be all three at once.
On the Ground
The Ocean Drive position puts the Ocean View Hotel in the most surveilled part of Vice City. The tourist strip, the VCPD presence, the cameras on every hotel exterior. The hotel's advantage is vertical: the upper floors provide a view of the South Beach corridor that street level does not have.
The hotel is a known landmark. Anyone who spent time in the original Vice City recognizes this address on sight. The building hasn't moved. You have been here before, whether you remember it or not.
Access is through the Ocean Drive lobby or the side street service entrance. The surrounding environment is South Beach at its most active.
