Field Assessment

The Tulip is the classic full-size American sedan in the Vice City vehicle population. The Caprice generation: long, chrome-detailed, comfortable in the way that cars built before fuel economy was a regulatory category were comfortable. It is the car in the driveway of the Vice City house that was bought before the neighborhood changed around it.

The Tulip does not perform at the level of the modern vehicles in the Leonida roster. It does not need to. It occupies a different function: the ambient civilian traffic that makes Vice City's residential districts feel inhabited, and the occasional mission vehicle for the specific narrative context where an older car is the correct choice.

The handling reflects the era. Soft suspension, body roll through corners, and the rear-wheel drive that the driver manages at the limit of what a comfortable car does under enthusiastic inputs.
