Xbox's official account posted the GTA 6 key art on May 22, 2026. Two words in the caption: "November 19th." A wishlist link followed. The Xbox Store page went live the same day, showing the date and accepting wishlists from console and the Xbox app.

No pre-order price. No edition breakdown. No bonus content. Just the game on the store, with a date. That is all Xbox put out.

GTA 6 wishlist is now live on the Xbox Store. The store page lists November 19, 2026 as the release date. Source: @XBOX on X, May 22, 2026.

What the Store Page Shows

The Xbox Store listing confirms Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S as the target platforms. The release date reads November 19, 2026. That is consistent with what Rockstar and Take-Two have said publicly since November 2025.

Pre-orders are not open. No standard or special editions are listed. The wishlist function is the only active button on the page. Microsoft has not issued a press release around this. The store listing went up, the tweet went out, and that was it.

What is confirmed vs. reported
  • Confirmed  Release date: November 19, 2026. Rockstar Newswire, November 2025. Reaffirmed by Take-Two and Strauss Zelnick in the May 2026 financial call.
  • Confirmed  Platforms: PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Console first. PC date not announced.
  • Reported, Xbox  GTA 6 wishlist live on Xbox Store. Store page shows Nov 19. Single source: Xbox official account and store listing.
  • Reported, Xbox  No pre-orders open. No editions announced. Wishlist only. Could change at any point before launch.

What This Means

Platform holders do not put up store listings ahead of a publisher's marketing campaign without coordination. Xbox did not do this on its own. The listing was cleared by Take-Two or Rockstar before it went live.

The Sony side has not moved publicly yet. A PlayStation Store listing will follow. When that happens, pre-orders will likely open on both platforms simultaneously. That is how major cross-platform releases have handled this for years.

Rockstar has said nothing. No Newswire post. No social. The date has not changed. The marketing campaign has not started. What Xbox did here is the first visible platform move. The campaign proper is still ahead.

The full release date timeline and all official Rockstar communications are filed in the database. The official announcements log is updated when new material comes in.
