Vice City Profile

MegaMundo is opening its first American corporate headquarters, and it's doing it loudly. The tower carries "MEGAMUNDO" lettering up its face, a rainbow-arch emblem over the entrance, and a green "MEGA MUNDO" banner strung above the staircase where the opening-night speech gets delivered. This is a company that wants the skyline to know it arrived.

Leadership runs through two very different registers. Petra Navarro is the CEO, composed and direct, the one who hires outside security for the launch event. Andres de Leon is the executive out front for the speech itself, fast-talking and volatile enough that Petra's security brief for him is explicitly to keep him in line as much as to protect him.

The opening event is staffed like a real corporate launch: door security screening every guest, Gustavo working the entrance, hired protection in Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos circulating the floor. All of it built around the assumption that the only risk in the room is bad press.

That assumption doesn't survive the night. Partway through Andres's speech, the celebration turns into a coordinated armed assault: a trained unit in hazmat suits and face coverings, working the building floor by floor. Whatever MegaMundo's headquarters opening was supposed to announce to Vice City, what it announces instead is that somebody wanted this building hit on exactly this night.
