Dossier
Jason Duval grew up in Leonida. He knows this state the way you know a place you never quite managed to leave. The Keys. The swamp roads. The difference between who to trust and who to shoot. Two tattoos tell most of the story: Marauders B Company on his right arm, a military unit nobody around here asks about, and a bird being impaled by an arrow on his chest. A phoenix. He had a career before the Keys. It ended. The Keys career did not.
He lives rent-free in a property owned by Brian Heder, in exchange for fixing the leaks, running the errands, and stopping by when Lori needs company. When Lucia got out of Leonida Penitentiary, Jason was the one who picked her up. His watch read 5:08 PM at the gate. They were at the Rusty Anchor that same evening.
He is the operational side of the partnership. He drives. He fights like a soldier. The Sinfronta Bank heist showed exactly what that training looks like when a security guard gets in the way. Lucia plans the job. Jason is the one who keeps it alive when the plan falls apart.
He is not chasing Vice City glamour. He wants something quieter on the other side of all this. His line is I want to do this right. It gets harder to mean that the longer this goes on. The heat from the VCPD and state police keeps building, and the easy exit keeps moving further away.
He's back in it. A stash house run by Raymond, a pickup of product that belongs, one way or another, to Boobie Ike, a police raid, an escape out a window with the bricks still in hand. Later, a job with real money on it: hired security for the MegaMundo headquarters opening, standing next to Lucia when the party turns into a shootout. Between the two, a proving run with Raul Bautista riding in the back seat, testing whether Lucia can actually drive under fire before he trusts either of them with anything bigger.
