The Cypher is the Ubermacht performance coupe. The M4 Competition profile is one of the most immediately recognizable in contemporary performance cars: the wide fenders, the M-specific front end, and the twin-turbocharged inline-six that BMW has been developing for long enough that it no longer needs to announce itself.
In Vice City, the Cypher is the executive performance choice. Not as theatrical as the Italian exotics, not as understated as the Ocelot. The Cypher communicates that the driver knows exactly what they have and chose it deliberately over everything louder. This is a specific Vice City personality type.
The rear-wheel drive configuration gives the Cypher the handling character that makes the BMW performance series distinct: a tendency toward rotation at the limit that the stability control manages in standard driving and that becomes available when the driver decides they want it.
